Formulas for the motion of a sensing bar due to nearby masses 1

چکیده
As our frame of reference, we begin with Cartesian coordinates in 3space R. Assume the frame is non-accelerating (inertial). Suppose there is a mass m at a fixed point in space r′ = (x′, y′, z′). This is a point source. It produces a gravity field around it, which can be sensed by a test mass at another point in space. How strong and in what direction is the tug of the field as it acts on the test mass? If two test masses sense the field, how different are the tugs they sense? We are asking for the values of

Using the Matrix Method to Compute the Degrees of Freedom of Mechanisms
In this paper, some definitions and traditional formulas for calculating the mobility of mechanisms are represented, e.g. Grubler formula, Somov - Malyshev formula, and Buchsbaum - Freudenstei. It is discussed that there are certain cases in which they are too ambiguous and incorrect to use. However, a matrix method is suggested based on the rank of the Jacobian of the mechanism and its applica...
متن کاملSimulation of Human Foot Mechanism with a Degree of Freedom Motion
The need for simulation of human foot mechanism has made researchers and engineers move towards different patterns to describe this movement. In this regard, optimal solutions such as energy consumption, accuracy, etc. are of utmost importance. In this paper, efforts have been made to present a new solution by designing a fully two-dimensional six-bar mechanism with one degree of freedom so tha...
متن کاملFabrication, characterization and investigation of gas sensing properties of MoO3 thin films
In this research, molybdenum oxide (α-MoO3) thin films were coated on glass substrates using spray pyrolysis technique. 0.05 M ammonium heptamolybdate tetrahydrate was used as precursor and deionized water as solvent. The effects of carrier gas pressure, during the spraying of the solution, on the structural, optical, morphological and gas sensing properties of thin films were studied. X-ray di...
متن کاملChaotic Response and Bifurcation Analysis of a Timoshenko Beam with Backlash Support Subjected to Moving Masses
A simply supported Timoshenko beam with an intermediate backlash is considered. The beam equations of motion are obtained based on the Timoshenko beam theory by including the dynamic effect of a moving mass travelling along the vibrating path. The equations of motion are discretized by using the assumed modes technique and solved using the Runge–Kutta method. The analysis methods employed in...
متن کاملThe Masses of Nearby Dwarfs Can Be Determined with Gravitational Microlensing
Microlensing of distant stars in the Milky Way by the nearby high proper motion stars offers a direct way to precisely measure the masses of single lower main sequence stars and brown dwarfs. Gravitational microlensing can be used to determine the masses of lensing objects, as the time scale of the event is proportional to the square root of the lensing mass. Unfortunately, the time scale also ...
